Penetration Sealing
For pipes, cables and other services. One main component to fire safety design for a building is a penetration sealing system which is vital to maintaining a buildings compartmentation and the ability to prevent the spread of smoke and fire and firestopping. In addition to penetration sealing this method will also enhance the acoustic and air sealing properties.
Cavity Fire Barriers
Defined as construction, other than a smoke curtain designed to close a concealed space such as a cavity wall or ceiling void against smoke and flame penetration and also the restriction of smoke and flames within such a space.
Pipe Wraps and Fire Collars
These are designed to protect plastic pipework that passes between different building compartments and a pipe wrap will generally be compromised from a layer of graphite intumescent sheet that is lined within a flexible polythene roll. Pipe wrap is very flexible and can be fitted and adjusted to multiple pipe sizes, a pipe collar is mechanically fixed to the structure that the service is protruding from. Both methods are often used in conjunction with intumescent sealant.
MF Suspended Ceilings
The main purpose of these ceilings is to prevent flame from spreading onto the roof and to limit the contribution to the fire load in the compartment. these type of ceilings are designed to repair, maintain and clean and provide adequate means of access to the void space for maintenance whilst still providing a fire rated ceiling.
Linear Gap Seals
Linear gap seals are flexible, water resistant, intumescent linear gap seals that expand to heat and are very durable seals that are installed under compression and can be used both vertical and horizontal joints.
